so you’ve got this at higher altitudes bogong moth at places like mount jim or mount loch and then you’ve got these lower altitude sites that have got emus and kangaroos on them um with these wooded areas with open planes in them and that’s that’s the diversity with it um the boundaries the boundaries the sameness out in the open flat country they’re rivers and river valleys they’re not ridgelines because ridgelines are movement pattern areas people can move up there they’re big flat areas um you know if you’re coming from uh the east from omeo you can go and dry gully you can climb up onto the old uh dinner plane spur and go up to Charlie McNamara is up hut and then up to young’s young stops or you can come up from like how people did come up the Dargo high plains drop down one valley and back up onto dinner plane and that spur line goes all the way to Hothem so you know those spur lines are the movement patterns um the saddles in particular have got generally water okay and the planes themselves have got these natural runoffs uh water there’s no shortage of it you know uh i guess it’s a little bit um like down here on the lowlands you know you you you’ve got rivers and you’ve got creeks and they’re the same when you look at it in the mountains it’s got to have the same aspect of of water waters are critical it’s probably more uh important than bogong moth than some of the other things if you haven’t got water you’re going to be struggling you know yeah so yeah so when it gets down the boundaries like i said i  don’t think too much about um the bias of of of what people are saying it’s getting to the archaeology because it it’s the evidence and it’s a hard evidence it doesn’t tell a lie there’s potentially I’m sure there are ceremonial areas you know people were up there for ceremonies share songs to learn different things from that because the people living in the high country were seen to be i guess knowledge holders yeah and they’d um provide knowledge to those that were going up to the high country and and yes it was in the marriage there was ceremony there was some all those sort of things sharing um once again you know because it was out of sight out of mind for uh Europeans nothing was recorded around this there’s only small snippets of this information
